I'm Jessica, the baker, recipe developer, photographer and voice behind this vegan baking blog!

Zest and Flour is my little nook on the Internet where I share recipes with everyone passionate about homemade sourdough baking or looking to make healthier vegan desserts.

You will find on this blog a wide variety of inspiring recipes such as classic crusty sourdough bread, raw energy balls, vegan muffins and cookies, vegan brownies, enriched sourdough loaves and a ton of creative ways to use your extra sourdough discard.

In this blog, I want to emphasize how sourdough baking should be for everyone, even if you think you are too busy! It can take some time to fully grasp the secret of sourdough baking and how to make it work for you and your schedule, but let's keep it fun and stress-free along the way.

I also enjoy sharing easy vegan dessert recipes with everyone looking for wholesome ways to enjoy treats. One of my favorite things is to prepare secretly healthy sweets that fool everyone into thinking they are indulging in something rich and decadent when in fact they are enjoying something nourishing and completely plant-based!
